As a travel consultant specializing in luxury getaways, my experience at Favela for our family vacation was a mixed bag. While the hotel offered basic comfort, it felt somewhat neglected. We appreciated its proximity to a popular zoo right next to the stadium, making it convenient for our little one under three years old to enjoy a day filled with playful encounters with animals. The stay wasn’t without its drawbacks. The hotel’s atmosphere lacked warmth during our arrival, and the owner's absence from the reception desk left little room for a welcoming vibe. Our family suite was adequately equipped, but we had to deal with inconsistent water temperatures, which was a surprise during bath time. On the plus side, the location allowed us to explore nearby bars and restaurants after our zoo adventures.
